Suck It & See - Arctic Monkeys album review
Review submitted by The Den 22nd June 2011
Rating: *** 3.5 stars
A big welcome
back to Arctic Monkeys - we have missed you. This is a welcome return to
form after the adventurous but ultimately disappointing collaboration
with Josh Homme on Humbug. The Sheffield four piece have gone back to
the future with guitars sounding like Arctic Monkey guitars should sound
like.
The album starts off with the killer "She's Thunderstorms" and does not
let up from there. This is a 12 track gem of a record with not a bad
song to be found. If you are a fan you wont come away not impressed. I
challenge you to pick out a real standout track - they all have
something to offer.
Final Word: Too much (arctic) monkey business.
