Rating: (*** 3.5 stars)
Is there
anything that Jim James cannot deliver? From their early Neil Young
influences this band has grown and blossomed with each release. Never
less than a 4 star review for everything they have made, they have
explored different musical genres, have taken risks that other bigger
name bands would never attempt and have come up smelling like a rose on
every occasion.
Circuital is no different. They walk down a new path and deliver
exception music producing one of the best records of 2011 so far.
The first single "Holding On To Black Metal" is unlike anything they
have previously done and is a winner. Other standout tracks (other than
all of them) include "Outta My System" and "First Light". This is a
finely crafted record by American musicians who really care.
Final Word: You wont get much better.
